We travel to Italy often, many times traveling to this colorful and amazing country. We traveled, looked, probably the whole country, and I knew Milan with the surroundings along and across - so we thought until the last winter. And here and not, as it turned out!
Being in Milan in winter, we even bored. The city is beautiful, amazing, but ... already all along and across the "read" by us. I drove on the railway station with some boredom and thought - where to go this time? Yes, so that people were around a bit, tired of the Gama and the noise of large resorts. Opened the map ... What is the Madezimo place? But we never were there!
With transfers through Chiavenn (and here we will stop next time) I got to the destination. The soft snowball sniffed softly in the air, the wind - no and in risen, around the low mountain, silence such that the ears lays down ... Here it is, the winter long-awaited fairy tale!
Madezimo, as we found out later, enters the fairly famous skiing zone called Valkyvenna. From a long time ago, Madezimo was popular in Italy not at all ski slopes, but as a healing thermal resort, in the town there is a mineral source. But in 1979 it was necessary to begin to attract here by tourists with skiing "fun". Here, it turns out, many celebrities hold their winter holiday - they stop "incognito" in small, but cozy accommodations, when they want to donate from their problems and to hide from an annoying omnipresent press. Snow, it should be noted, the Madezimo is excellent and he holds hell until the end of April, as local residents and regular tourists enlightened.
Small, even a tiny town of Madezimo turns out to offer visitors twenty-seven tracks! And the tracks of the three types of complexity are red, blue and black, on any absolutely taste, and for "kettles", the first day of those who put on skis, and for the true "pros".
A tiny hotel where we are located, from the side, it seemed, was covered with snow almost on the roof!
As it turned out later, in vain we contacted the railway. In the winter season, a direct bus route is organized from Milan to Modezimo. Well, we will have this in mind for the future!
