Visit Podgorica was absolutely not planned me. I didn't go there at all, but after crossing the border with Albania, the bus was broken and I was forced to vote on the road. It so happened that a married couple, which agreed to take me, drove into Podgorica. I decided that this was fate and then I need to visit this town, which is the capital of a small, but very beautiful country - Montenegro.
In Podgorica, we drove closer in the evening and time remained quite a bit in order to find the night to find the night. So my acquaintance with the city I started from the early morning of the next day. But it was in the dark time of the day that one of the main attractions of the city can be seen in the city - Millennium Bridge.
In Podgorica, as well as in any city, there are resort places, they are glad and cleaned from garbage, well, there are backyards, where, of course, the streets are not immelled in the mud, but there is no trace from exhaustion. The walls of the houses are written and painted with paints from the cans, then there's abandoned buildings there, but still there is no dullness. Persons in people are bright, friendly.
The city center, of course, looks great. In Podgorica, I first saw that you can build a modern building from glass and concrete among small houses and it will not look ugly.
Tangible for many tourists a huge minus Podgorica - the absence of the sea. But here there are rivers with the picturesque shores, where you can easily take sunbathing.

The churches and temples of Podgorica are especially popular.
Podgorica will have to do with someone who loves a calm and unspokey rest. Who likes to wander through the streets, visit museums, admire natural landscapes and look at passersby over a cup of coffee or a glass of beer.
Here life flows slowly and there is absolutely no feeling that you are in the European capital.
Visit Podgorica is definitely worth it. Perhaps you will not like it here, but Montenegro Country is small and you can always smear into a noisy and fun Budva. But if this city will have to taste, you will understand that the sea is not the main criterion of vacation.
