Langkavi is a small, but very popular small-sighted resort in the South China Sea. On the island there are stony and climbing shores, but most of it is all the same beaches. It was not easy to choose a zone for rest, on each side of the island, the beaches have their own highlights: in the north, more green with mango rivers flowing in them, in the West more secluded bays, but less infrastructure around hotels. As a result, we choose on South Beach Senang on the southern beach, it is a long sand strip, along which a small town is drawn into one street, consisting of hotels, restaurants and spa. To visit the island, we chose April, the sea in this period is more relaxed and rain less, although water and air here are every year almost the same temperature + 30 degrees. The beach itself turned out to be very gentle, with small white sand, so there are many vacationers with children on it. Water is clean, without algae and jellyfish, but still not absolutely transparent, which is generally normal for the Malac Strait.

One of the reasons for the popularity of the island is that this is a duty-free zone. In the town near our beach there were a few duty free shops, which was very painted rest and helped cool to save on good alcohol;). Another important advantage of recreation in a tourist destination was the opportunity to visit various restaurants that are replete with grill, fresh seafood and fruit desserts every day. For those who poorly digest Asian cuisine, they offer European dishes.

For a week of staying on the island, we managed to inspect it well. First of all, they went to the Great Oceanarium located there on the beach of Senang. The collection of underwater inhabitants, although not the largest in Asia, but still impressive, children in the perfect delight leads the tunnel. Even not far from the beach there is a cartridge, where you can drive on small open cars and feel like a rider of Formula 1. In one of the days they made a trip and climbing the waterfalls "7 wells" - the place is really awesome, but you need to visit in the morning or in the evening, and even better In the rain, when the heat does not complicate the already heavy rise. The next point was the cableway - the view from its viewing sites is very picturesque, excellent photos are obtained, but the clouds often run out on the mountain and impair visibility greatly.

In addition, there are many places left where we did not have time, because it was necessary to pay due attention to the beach :). For example, there is a rice museum, where you can take a walk on a real plantation. I also really wanted to go on a tour of the Mangrove River - to feed local brown eagles and visit the cave with bats. But all this we left to our next arrival at Langkawi, because we decided to return here!
