Alanya. Perhaps one of the most popular resorts of the Antalya coast. I can not say that this is my favorite region, but, nevertheless, rested here repeatedly, so I can share my impressions about the pros and cons of this resort.
And so, the pros.
First. Not fully plus, but I will take this item here. In the region of Alanya, the season begins faster and the comfortable temperature for recreation is preserved longer, as the region is the most southernmost. But if you are going to relax at the beginning of the season, for example, in May, it may be better to choose Kemer - the air temperature will be, perhaps a little lower, but there will be no wind (in May this year was convinced of this). But if you are going to relax at the end of the season - then choose Alania - it will be dry and warm here.
Second. Compared to other regions, Alanya offers a fairly budgetary holiday. Of course, cheap hotels are at every resort of Turkey, but the question is in their quality. As for me, it is in Alanya there is a large selection of cheap and more normal hotels, for example: Arabella World Hotel 4 *, Club Tropical Beach Hotel 4 *, Inova Beach Hotel 4 *, Ananas Hotel 4 * - these are those hotels that I like more In total, the price of them is available (close to the sea, their own beaches).
The third. Beaches. I will take this point in the pros, and in the minuses. A positive moment - Alanya beaches are among the best in Turkey. But not all. The most famous is the Beach Cleopatra - Sand. The entrance is free, but sun beds and umbrellas in many hotels will be paid. Another nuance: many people, the locals are often loved to relax here. I personally would advise you to choose the beach of Injekum (translated as "small sand") - perfect sand, gently sloping at sea. Nearby hotels in Arabella World Hotel 4 *, Alala Kum Hotel 5 *, Pegasos 4 * and 5 *.
Of course, it is possible to attribute to the advantages - a well-developed infrastructure outside of hotels, but it will not be a plus compared to other resorts, since the infrastructure is everywhere. And I would still advise you to choose hotels in Kemer.
Now minuses.
The first and the fact that, as a rule, the most restrains tourists from a trip to Alanya - distance from the airport. From Anatalia to Alanya to ride approximately 100km (depending on the selected hotel). That is, the transfer takes at least three hours (for the last time we were taken from the UTOPIA World Hotel 5 * 5 hours before departure). This is certainly very uncomfortable, first of all for tourists traveling with young children.
Second. As he said, the Beach point I will take it to the cons. Yes, the beaches are predominantly sand, but you need to pay attention to the goals in the sea - there is a stove, stones. Acrove this attention to your travel agent when you plan to go here, as the beach will be sand, yes, but go to the sea without special shoes or, if you are with small children, it will be hard in some hotels.
The third. No greens. But it will be minus compared to the resorts of Kemer, Belek (in Side, for example, green even less). But the greens meet here. In the Avsallar region, for example, there are pine forests.
Who needs to relax in Alanya? Perhaps everyone. That is, a large selection of hotels for children's holidays, for family, romantic, youth and for high-quality elite. The main thing is to choose the right hotel and the region. Of course, youth is better to choose those hotels that will be located closer to the city center, next to all active entertainment, discos. For families and for tourists with children, I advise you to choose conaks, Avsallar (it is here that the beach is injekum).
Regarding the safety of the region. I do not see any dangers here. Resting here, I rarely used a taxi service or hotel transfers to, for example, get to the center of Alanya. Public transport is cheap and quite safe. Walking in the evening in the cities of the region is also safe, there are many tourists everywhere, no one sleeps. Of course, the elementary rules should be observed: if you are a girl and walk outside the hotel on your own or with a friend, it is better to try to be restrained in clothes, not to walk as remote areas.
Outcome. Is it worth going to Alanya? Standing! The main thing is to choose the right region, the hotel, so that your vacation has justified your expectations.
