Rest in South Goa - Benaulim

Anonim

It is the opinion that only riche foreigners retirees are resting in South Goa. As a result, they say, everything is much more expensive there - and housing, and the food ... I wanted to check if it was so, so I went from the Arabole in Benualim (this is one of the villages of South Goa) and lived there for two weeks in a lovely white Domik.

So, what is distinguished by Benaulim from the North Goa? First, with your coast. Here in South Goa there is the smallest-petty white sand, which lists on all postcards. It looks like snow and even creaks under his feet like snow! Of course, his minus is that it instantly sticks to the whole body, and if walking from the beach, do not wash him off with himself, the sand will be in the whole house.

Secondly, the sea here is more often than in Northern Goa, and in general the beaches are just deserted (or it was so lucky me, I do not know). Here you can really meet only a couple of any German pensioners in a chaise lounge throughout the Benaulim coastline! At the same time, cafes and small resorts are built along the coast, that is, there is where, but - no one.

In general, the Beach side of Benaulim is very different from his "residential" part. To get from the sea to the village, you need to go along the road through the wasteland, and go so for ten minutes to fifteen, no less. And only then the first buildings begin, also hotels and guesthouses with prices, naturally, cheaper than on the shore. In the village of Benaulim, there are small shops (type of supermarket), local stalls with vegetables and fruits, cafes, but in general is the usual Indian village, with trash, cows, dust roads and other attributes of Indian reality.

I liked to relax in Benaulim (after the noisy league is just). Here will be comfortable for those who want to rest, loneliness and silence. On the beach almost no one (including the addition of indian sellers), however, in the evenings in the cafes playing loud music, but you can go away along the beach, and it will become quiet. But in general it is boring here! Over two weeks, the absence of civilization and youth movement is really bored. But it is an amateur, as you understand.
