At the end of July of this year visited Kemer. It was our first "Turkish" experience. Before the trip, as they were interested in various sites with rest in this city, and did not know the main one - it is worth going there to the most "mackeushka" of the summer. Therefore, they risked - and they got a lot of impressions, unfortunately, sometimes not quite positive.
Start with the fact that in Kemer in July terrible humidity. In combination with heat, it turns out almost Russian steam room. Moreover, it was sometimes the feeling that the humidity of the air rolls over 100%. You can save from it only, swimming in the sea, but to fully move around the city - only in the morning or in the evening when the peckerel cools a little. Not every organism is able to withstand such a double blow - the heat-moisture, cores need to think a hundred times before at this time of the year to go to Kemer. It turns out that the best time to rest in this Turkish area is the end of the spring and the beginning of the autumn. But who would know?!
The sun here is very brutally to those who are not protected from its rays. It is possible to burn even during swimming. Therefore, the arsenal of a vacationer should always be cosmetics with serious UV protection.
Due to high humidity, underwear does not dry, especially terry towels, so it is better to have their own spare "plus" to the hotel and, of course, several bathing kits.
The unequivocal plus is the location of Kemer. From the airport in Antalya to the hotel we managed to ride in time just an hour. And this is taking into account the fact that the transfer first collected tourists for a long time, and then delivered around the city. Kemer is located about 42 kilometers from Antalya.
The city is small, the people live (in addition to tourists, of course) of all thousands of 20. Kemer does not hit the attractions. The city is relatively young - it began to build only in the 90s of the last century, when the belt (which is in Turkish and sounds like "Kemer") of special fortifications disadvantaged the city blocks from the village streams from the mountains.
The main streets are only two, plus the area with the main city sights like Fountain, the clock tower and the monument to the father of the Nation Ataturku (and this monument to this Turkish leader is not the only one in Kemer, in honor of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, and the park).
One of the main streets is, in fact, pedestrian boulevard with shops, cafes, benches and greens.
The second "home" - with a rich car movement. Pedestrians (whether you are at least three times tourist) Turkish drivers are not particularly respectful, so, rushing on the one side of the street to another, from one souvenir shop to another, you have to be very prominent and looking into both. In the sense - in both sides of the road, so as not to get under the wheels of local libraries, which there is enough.
Souvenir benches and shops with clothing, leather, textiles, full of full. You can bargain, but it does not give anything fundamentally. It seems that the goods of the Turkish sellers comes from somewhere from one place, from the base, so to speak and slow down the price they can only slightly.
On Tuesdays in Kemer - a big market, a sort of mobile market comes. They went for the sake of interest, stumbled, looked at the goods - interest 80 -, alas, a banal "Chinese".
Fruits, mineral water is better to buy not in small shops, but in their network, called "1e1". One of these shops is located in the center of Kemer, the mosque. Take bank cards for payment there.
The most important thing is that he smoothes all negative emotions, reworking the minuses to the pros - this is the sea. In Kemer, it is purest, warm, transparent!
But the beaches are melted, so for convenience special beach sneakers will not interfere.
Beaches in Kemer are narrow, we even once measured specially - it turned out only 12 meters of a bar of pebbles by the sea.
Each hotel "First Line" exposes an umbrella and sun beds opposite its territory. And they stand right to each other, very closely!
To take the "Lying" place maybe the one who does not live in this hotel, but then you need to pay (something about 10 Turkish lire, or $ 4,5).
But without a sun bed - do, please, for free. Only, I repeat, there is no place from the sun beds, such a closest thing.
The sandy beach in Kemer is also there, but he is artificial, bulk. Calcoto is called between the port and the river. The beach is paid and reach it on special route buses from hotels. They walk on schedule. A ticket about $ 2 (the price includes the remuneration itself, and a sun bed with an umbrella on the beach). There are a lot of greenery and cafes, there are children's playgrounds.
For tourists - "Banana", skating on parachutes (all from $ 50)
A volleyball mesh is stretched on the beach in the port area, and the local in the evenings play on this site, there is even a small tribune for the audience.
They say, in the port area, or rather, behind him, you can see the turtles, sometimes they swim and along the beach. But we managed to see these animals from afar. In the very sea, there is nothing to look - in vain dragged the tube, mask and flippers. This is not a charm, there are almost no fish. And those that are, absolutely "nothing", as they say.
The symbol of the city of Kemer is a grenade. He is found literally everywhere - and as a tree itself, and as a monument.
In general, Kemer, as one of the Turkish resorts, has a number of advantages - proximity from the airport, clean sea, good infrastructure for tourists (Hamama, massage salons, bars, danceings, shops, cafes).
