Of course, Trieste is Italy, you will say. And, probably, you will be right, while you walk around the city streets, admire the architecture, eat the magnificent Italian pizza or watch the temperamental locals.
But the feeling of Italy ends with a visit to the first store. There is no such abundance of famous Italian and world brands, as in other cities, a very modest choice of bags (which is not very typical for Italy), a small range of shoes (everything is like a single model of Babushkin version). Of the advantages: prices are lower here (with the exception of shoe stores) than in Rome or neighboring Venice, there is no crowd of tourists who sweep away everything in its path. Nevertheless, being in Trieste, it makes sense to allocate time for hiking at local stores.

Souvenirs
Souvenirs are not the fact that tourists from Trieste are taken. Souvenir shops and shops here are practically no even in the center. The choice of souvenir products is reduced to standard magnets, plates with species (mainly on the Castle of Miramare) and T-shirts with the inscription: I love Italy.
