Initially, a trip to Turkey caused some skepticism, a very "pop" seemed to me this resort. However, it just happened that there was no special choice, it was decided to buy a tour to Antalya.
We were immediately lucky with the hotel, which was in the heart of the Old Town. If someone is interesting, it was Ozskaymak Falez, which was repeatedly gained on the reviews of feedback. After reading the negative, we were definitely definitely and already anticipated a spoiled rest ...
However, along the way from the airport, the mood began to change. Well, it is impossible to sit with a displeased face when after the stone jungle of concrete and glass, suddenly find yourself in the city that sinks in colors and greens. Flowering trees, palm trees and the smell of a near sea are set up on a very special way.
As I said, our hotel was in the very center, so within walking distance were the Archaeological Museum of Antalya, the Migros shopping center, Lunapark and the Old Town of Caleach. The latter is extremely recommended for visiting, there you can buy many colorful things, ranging from tea and spices, and ending with quite a decent quality with souvenirs and clothing. The old town is a labyrinth of narrow shopping streets mixed with small cafes and hotels. There you will meet an army from obsessive merchants who will speak with you in any language of the world, bargain for every dollar, and in the end they will be able to lose the price of the goods almost three times. In general, this place has an amazing energy, you can talk about it for a very long time.
Another amazing and pleasant moment for me was the attitude of Antalians to homeless animals. On the territory of the hotel and its surroundings we met a lot of cats. For them there are special homes, feeders, they care about them, they are treated and sterilized. Thanks to this, the coast is filled with happy and satisfied cats, which can be found on benches, lawns, even on a sun bed. Among the tourists come across, of course, the haters of animals, which are periodically perturbed on this occasion, for us it rather contributed to a "cat" flavor.
It is still worth saying a few words about the Moon Park. Attractions there are not very much, but among them there are quite chilling souls. Lovers of acute sensations are worth trying to ride on the "rocket" and "Molot", which stands next to her. We shot the video on Gopro when they rode on it, in shooting it looks just awesome.
We will definitely return to this city, after selecting the season when there will be smaller tourists. That feeling of calm and recreation, which gives Antalya, definitely want to repeat.
