Lavender fields and blue water split.

Anonim

My first impression from Croatian Split was "What is the blue water!". Despite the fact that this is not the first of my sea resort, perhaps, I have not seen such a water anywhere. Later, local told that all sewage facilities were specifically brought out of the city, so as not to clog the water.

On the shore, there are many hotels, some, as our Radisson, have the sea view in almost all rooms, besides there is your beach with a small pier, swimming pool, restaurant and all sorts of other pleasantness. Regarding the restaurant it is worth saying that the food in Split is wonderful, regardless of where you decide to eat, in an expensive restaurant or in a small cafe, outdoors. Of course, seafood deserves special attention.

Split is a fairly old town, with a rich history. In the center you can find many attractions and souvenir shops. On the central streets it is worth to be especially careful, in their intricacies easily get lost.

Another revelation for me was what lavender is grown in Croatia. Almost every step you can meet bags, boxes, jars with these flowers. This is one of the most popular souvenirs that are so pleased to bring home so that fresh fragrance resembles the blue fields of Croatia. However, in order to see them, you need to go far beyond the city.

In the city, the city can be passed on the embankment, which will delight you with palm trees and many yachts and boats. They can be rented to swim by one of the small islands that framed the coast. Be sure to use this opportunity. The purely deserted beach is half an hour from the embankment is to take a look at it. And on such islets, there are usually small cafes, where you will be offered fresh vegetables, fruits and fried fish. After swimming in the purest water of the Adriatic Sea, such a fish seems like the most delicious delicacy in the world. And if you are very lucky, then you will hear how Croatian songs will sing around the neighboring table. I assure you, it produces an indelible impression of calm and serenity.

If you want to bring souvenirs to your friends, then take care of it in advance, at Duty Frey Airport is rather modest. A pair of departments with constant cosmetics and perfumes, sweets and local spirits. And, of course, Lavender! In general, Croatian alcoholic beverages also deserve to become a bare decoration. I was not kept and bought a bottle of liqueur, with a hunted rose inside.

After a week spent in Split, we can say that this place is definitely worth a visit. There is worth going to look at the pure water of the Adriatic and the atmosphere, which retained the features of Croatian identity.
