Those who like provincial Western European cities, Ivano-Frankivsk will have to do. Personally, he reminds of Polish Krakow something. At least, I thought so as soon as we came out from the railway station. In Ivano-Frankivsk we spent just three days, but they were very saturated and remembered to me for life.
We stayed in a small hotel in the very center of the city under a slightly strange name for me. "Under Temple"
Later, I learned that Tempel is an old Jewish synagogue that was near. In general, this is a hotel-museum, and those who appreciate comfort and a cozy atmosphere will feel here at home. All days we had breakfast in the Lobby Bar "Cysses" - a very extraordinary institution in which Jewish dishes are offered. I even thought that I was in the traditional cafe of Jerusalem. But it was only a mirage.
In general, I liked the city - very calm, cozy and ... small. As for the regional center. We specifically wanted to drive around the city and the road has taken less than 1.5 hours, and this is taking into account a small traffic jam on the bypass. So and to inspect the interesting places of Ivano-Frankivsk in a couple of days.
What deserves special attention? Next to our hotel there was a small Square Adam Mitskevich, although I heard a rap of ear that the local is called the park.
