Gdansk - the sea capital of Poland, a scientific and cultural center, located on the southern coast of the Baltic Sea.
You can get there or by plane or train by bus, as a tourist excursion. Way options to Gdansk Mass, here you already need to look more convenient. But it's not expensive to get there. You can live in hotels and hostels, I lived in a boarding house, which I kindly provided me by the company (I traveled to Gdansk for business).
The city impressed the fairy tale, walking around the city, near the water mills then it seemed that now there would be a gnome, or an elf or any other unusual creature.
I heard a lot of feedback that Gdansk looks like Amsterdam, but since I was not in Amsterdam, I can't say anything. But definitely in Gdansk not as many attractions, as in Italy, or, for example, in France, but still visit this city.
Gdansk completely renovated, there is no volatile old buildings anywhere, so it does not produce oppressive impressions, but on the contrary, it will make a feeling of lightness and magic.
There are a lot of restaurants and cafes, delicious dishes with large portions familiar to Poland, prices please, in Gdansk almost everywhere you can eat cheap and drink coffee, eat tasty cake.
And what are soups there !!! I ate national soups Flask and Zubek, very tasty, I liked another duck with cherry.
In general, there are many diverse thematic restaurants: Asian, national, Greek, etc. Kitchens, for every taste.
Delicious cheeses, these are not the Polish cheeses that we are sold from us, but much more tastier! There is a fish restaurant "Tavern", all the same Gdansk - the sea city.
In Gdansk, a very beautiful railway station, a whole work of art. In Warsaw, the station is much worse, at least, I got such an impression.
Be sure to visit the water mills, this is an old place, in it, as if they touch the past events.
And Gdansk worth visiting to taste the famous Gdansk waffles
Fountain Neptune
The streets of the town.

Amber Street, where you can buy products from amber, such wonderful jewelry from this stone can be found except in the countries of the Baltic States. There is also a museum of amber.
And both in any tourist city there are museums here, (almost everyone is in the historic center of the city) pass festivals and fairs. Before the trip, look at the site of the city, to the announcements, so that during the visit you could participate in one of these events.
How romantic walking in the evening in the pier! Cafe, music, this city is simply created for lovers! Only here the entrance to the pier is not free, you need to buy a ticket for the entrance.
The main attraction of the city - the crane, the crane, with which the masts on the ships were installed.
There were not many tourists in general, there were a lot of Germans among them.
The oldest church of the city is the church of St. Catharina, there is a museum of hours.
Summer in Gdansk rainy, begins in June, I was there in July, the weather was sunny, sometimes cloudy.
City transport in Gdansk is buses, trams, route taxis.
I advise you to spend your vacation in Gdansk, although you will not work out and sunbathe into the sea, you can walk on the yacht, take a walk through the pier, it is a holiday and a sea for those who are tired of the beaches and traditional summer holidays.
