In the south of Italy, the wonderful town of Bari is located. Bari is considered the capital of the region of ITALY. Warm sea, affectionate sun, a gorgeous excursion program cannot, do not like the rest. In this town I spent not so much time, but I managed to inspect some attractions and buy in the Adriatic Sea and simply have a good time before landing on the ferry. The city of Bari is a port city, it has a large port, which arrives from which ships, ferries come from. That day I expected the departure of my ferry on the route Bari Patras (from Italy to Greece). And during his expectation, I was lucky to get acquainted with this cute town of Bari closer.
I will start in order. Bari - the resort, which is popular with Europeans. Russian tourists meet here difficult. The beach in Bari is just one, but it is located within the city of the city, it is easy to reach it - only 10-15 minutes along the embankment and you are in place. This beach has a funny name "Pane Pomodoro", which means "bread and tomato" why such a name, I could not find out. But it turned out to buy and evaluate this beach. The beach is a sandy, coming in the sea is gradual, the beach is not equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas, you need to take a towel with you, so that it was to lie on. The entrance to the beach is free. I heard that there are excellent paid beaches, but they are located beyond the city, half an hour.
Widow bumping, I went to learn the sights of the city. The most important attraction is the Basilica of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, in which his power is kept. Therefore, pilgrims from all over the world regularly come to Bari to lean to the relics of the saint. Of course, I visited this basil, leaned against my relics and put a candle.
Further, my path lay on narrow stone streets, on which there were tiny vegetable shops, small souvenir shops and just houses of local residents. I am struck by another. All the doors in the house were open, you can just go down the street and see how simple Italians live, which is happening in their house. Someone is preparing in the kitchen, someone just rests. Specially in the inside, I did not look, it just fell into my field of my vision, when I wandered around the streets. Some women endured chairs and sitting near their homes on the street, communicated with each other.
After studying the streets of Bari, I visited some more sights. This is the church of St. Sabina and castle Castel del Monte. And further my way - on the ferry, in Greece!
