Luxembourg - "We want to stay like that we are!"

In Luxembourg, I visited August last year. Unfortunately, I was only one day there. But, this little cozy town will forever remain in my heart. I wandered along the confusing medieval streets, admired the architecture and purity of this city. The city is really very clean. The main feature of Luxembourg is that all stores close at six o'clock in the evening, and they do not work at all at all. Here people speak special - Luxembourg. This is a mixture of German and French. Prices in Luxembourg are a bit off. All because the standard of living here is very high and salaries are the largest in Europe.

But I want to tell more about the city itself. The city consists of two parts separated by the river: the upper city and the bottom. All major attractions are in the upper city. Here both the cathedrals, monuments, museums, ancient ruins .... In general, there is something to see. I started my acquaintance with the city in the upper part of it. He went to the Cathedral of Notre Dame, loved by frescoes. I was very lucky, I just got a worship service and listened to the wonderful sound of the organ. Then he passed through narrow streets and went to the main square of Luxembourg Square Guillaume II, examined the Big Duccian Palace. Made a few photos and slowly went to walk on.

I was very impressed with me "Balcony of Europe", which offers a wonderful view of the lower city and the river valley. I decided to explore Luxembourg thoroughly and went down to the lower city. I descended on the serpentine track the leading down. And from the historic center, I got into a fairy tale. Narrow river, green park, bird singing. And such calm, peacefulness. Little houses with neat grodes near each house were very humbled. Walking and loved by beautiful species, it's time to return again to the upper city. I was very tired during my walk and did not imagine how I would climb upstairs. But, good-natured locals, understood my problem, kindly suggested how to rise, without making any effort. It turns out that everything is very simple - there is an elevator, which is easily, in a matter of minutes delivers you from the bottom of the city to the upper and back.

And here I am already sitting in a cozy cafe and flavoring local cuisine - the famous National Luxembourg Bunshulip Soup (with green peas, bacon, bow and potatoes). Delicious!

"We want to stay as we are!" - This expression is written on the balcony in the center of Luxembourg. As I was explained - this is the Luxembourg National Slogan. For centuries, Luxembourbles managed to preserve their city, their traditions, their culture. They follow this slogan and it is perfect for them.
