Hua Hin has been developing extremely quickly in recent years.
In recent years, Hua Hin has been observed a boom in construction - and hotels, and apartments and houses are already "littered" Hua Hina's horizon. Hua Hin first appeared on a tourist map in the 1920s, when the railway lines were laid there - the road passes very close to the coastline, for example, from Hua Huina railway station only a couple of hundreds of meters to the edge of the water. Almost unimused and not mastered in those days with white sand beaches made the town to the place of wonderful rest, as well as the place where the travelers stayed during a long journey to the south (in particular, when it became where- at the Railway Hotel (now Sofitel Central Hua Hin).
In the 1920s, the Royal Family of Thailand "smelled" at Hua Hin, when the Palace of Klai Kangwon was built in the surrounding area (Klai Kangwon Palace, translated from Thai name means "palace away from worries") by order of the king frame VII.
Unfortunately, the palace did not help forget about the concerns, and the king was in this residence in 1932, when the coup in Bangkok put an end to the absolute monarchy in the country. During the years ago, the palace was open to the public, however, you can visit it only when kings can be visited Do not rest in the residence.
With fishing settlements, a beautiful hotel and the palace, the choice of the king, Hua Hin began to grow quickly and flourish over the next decades. But in some way, Hua Hin became popular as a place where Thais (and not only) go on the slope of the years, living-wander on the seashore. That is, the "hot" tourist town of Hua Hin is difficult to call. Hua Hin, as well as the neighboring Cha-AM and Pranburi is also popular among foreigners who buy condominiums here (which, unlike land and houses, it is possible with certain conditions to be quite simply acquired by foreign citizens).
The center of the city is "inclined" between the train station and the beach, with a sphere in the south and a large fishing pier in the north. All within this area is within walking distance. McDonalds, Burger King, Starbucks and in a variety of coffee shop pizzerias compete for their guests along the main street in the city.
If you are accustomed to modern amenities and ways to power, you will not be disappointed. In addition, it is impossible not to mention the studio at this point. Hua Hin fill the stores of fabrics and ateliers. It seems that every 10 meters is worth the next studio. Not less than 20 tailors in the city. For the city of this size, Hua Hin offers a huge number of cafes and bars, and grows the number of institutions that would be to the place in Pattaya or Patong. Here you will definitely do not die with hunger. If you do not have much money, then there will be a sentence for you, where to stay, although keep in mind that with the seedy side of life there, of course, implies more risk. Theft and sell certainly takes place in Hua Hin (as in other similar resorts in Thailand). As for the traditional Thai cuisine, Hua Hin, a city with fishing roots, offers a large number of seafood restaurants, the best of which are located in the south, in the area of Takiap JSC - it is not far from the center, there is tasty and all at a reasonable price.
The best plot of Hua Hina Beach-Windows Sofitel and central hotels, however, they are filled with sun loungers and annoying sellers of excursions, massage, beer and pineapple (suitable every five minutes). If you want a more secluded beach - just go along the line to the north or south. The farther, the quieter.
And even better rent a motorcycle and go away - the beaches near the city are good and much less crowded.
Also from here you can go to the nearby Khao National Park itself and Kaeng Kangan National Park (although the latter is more convenient to visit from Phtburi). Organized tours are available throughout the city, and if you have your own transport, it is even more convenient.
As you can see, Hua Hin is a rather curious place, with historical sights, entertainment facilities and beautiful nature. Definitely, worth visiting!
