I want to share my impressions from the weekend tour in Lithuania. The tourism Lithuania is pleasant in all respects. Soft cool climate, interesting travel program, available prices.
We arrived in the city of Vilnius the capital of Lithuania and immediately went for breakfast in the cafe. To confess, breakfast for me was too tight, and I liked my husband. After breakfast went for a bus tour to Kaunas and Trakai. Trakai is just 30 km from Vilnius and is famous for its Trakai castle. It stands on the island in the middle of Lake Galve and is the only island castle in Eastern Europe. The center of the castle is the princely castle, surrounded by a thick fortress wall. Now there is a museum with a huge number of exhibits. The excursion was very interesting cognitive and left a pleasant impression from the visit of the castle. Then our way was lying in Kaunas the second largest city of Lithuania, which is located at the merger of the Nymunas Rivers and Neris 100 km from Vilnius. Started a tour of the town hall at which the Town Hall stands. It is also called the "White Swan" around the buildings of old buildings. Visited the church of St. Mikhail and Church of St. Vitautas, the house of Perkuzus is one of the original buildings in Lithuania, as well as the famous Museum of the devils in Kaunas. In the evening we walked around the city a very beautiful modern city. The next day we were expected excursions in Vilnius. I really liked the walking tour of the old city with a visit to Gedeminas Mountain, a meaningful story about the legends associated with the occurrence of the city. A great impression was made a unique gothic ensemble Church of St. Anne and Bernardines, a medieval Jewish ghetto. We visited the Pyatnitsky and Nikolsk Church, as well as the Town Hall, walked around the narrow winding streets and a small cozy courtyard.
After a tour of Vilnius, we visited the tasting of Jyugas cheeses - the name of a delicacy cheese, which is characterized by special taste. I am a big cheese lover and for me it was not only the most interesting excursion, but also delicious. All cheeses presented on tastings are simply great.
And the husband took the soul on the next beer tasting in the beer basement. In Lithuania, a beer is a favorite drink and has more than 300 species. On this, our two-day journey in Lithuania ended.
