Food in Hammamet: prices, where to eat?

The issue of nutrition in Hammamet was relevant for us, since we drove on the NV ticket, and it was necessary to dine somewhere. We have not specifically taken Al Inclusive (the difference with nutrition on the HB system was somewhere 150 dollars), as they knew that the power in Tunisia was not expensive, and they did not want to tie themselves to the hotel.

In the area of our Hotel Residence Mahmoud (located close to the historic part of the city) there were many restaurants. But at the tourist forums, everyone praised the institution called Berliner (go to the right of 300 meters), which is famous for its inexpensive complex lunches.

This means that the chop will be fed to the first soup (with melon seeds, very tasty), salad (cucumbers, onions, tomatoes), fried potatoes, plate with sliced watermelon and a whole basket of bread. The system of comprehensive dinners is in many restaurants. Usually the input itself is a menu where you can familiarize yourself with the offered dishes and prices. The cost of the integrated menu in some restaurants in the medina is about 20 dinars per person. It is worth noting that during Ramadan, the cafe is working somewhere until 16-00. If there is a terrace in the restaurant, it will not work, it is possible to eat only indoors.

Products can be purchased independently. Small shops are everywhere. The most affordable grocery store, which we saw is a female in Medina (a red signboard with MG letters), is a small supermarket. There you can buy snacks, water, bread, canned fish, etc. In Tunisia's shops, it is not customary to sell meat ice cream, it is due to the fact that the tunisians love only fresh foods. Animals, in meat shops, clog on the day of sale. The head of the killed animal is usually laid out before entering the shop so that buyers have an idea of freshness of meat. Chickens kill immediately after agreeing about the price.
