Since there is no airport in Piestany, the fastest and most convenient way to get here is to fly through the capital Bratislava-Ivana Airport. Here from the Moscow airport Vnukovo fly the airline UTair (depending on the season four times a week or daily). Unfortunately, other airlines and other cities of Russia do not fly here. But you can choose a more convenient departure by choosing a flight to the Vienna Schweat, which is only 60 kilometers further than Bratislava Airport. But the deposits from Moscow here are carried out several times a day, you can also fly directly from St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don and Krasnodar on Transaero, Aeroflote, Austrian Airlines and Airlines Niki. Another option, in my opinion, is not quite rational, but nevertheless having the right to exist: to fly through Budapest by the Wizzair Hungarian budget company. Ticket prices are simply ridiculous, you can fly in both sides for 50 euros, however, to get to Piestany, which are from Budapest 200 kilometers, will have to have numerous transfers.
From the airport in Piestany
The easiest and most convenient, but also the most expensive, will book a transfer from the airport. The trip from Bratislavsky Airport will cost approximately 100 euros, from Vienna - 140, from Budapest - already in 200.
Cheaper, but also a longer way, is an independent trip by public transport. So, from Bratislava Airport in Piestany, in two ways: by bus and by train. The bus goes once a day, the passage costs 5.5 euros one way, travel time is one and a half hours. On the train to go about the same, but they go more often - once every two hours, the cost of a ticket for both sides is 8.5 euros. You can get on the bus and railway station from the airport on city transport. There will be a bus with transfers, and a direct bus route number 61 goes to the railway.
But from the Vienna Airport, Sweden is more convenient to go to Piestany by bus - only one transplant is waiting for the Bratislava bus station. The fare from Vienna Airport to the bus station is about 8 euros. But getting around the railway, you will have to make many transplants.
The path from Budapest to Piestany is even more ternist. At first, you will have to get from the airport by bus to the subway, then on the subway to the Kelety Train Station, from where trains go to Bratislava and only from there are already resetting the train to Piesthan. In the time for a long time, and it is also inconvenient, because you will have to take care of the purchase of forints for travel on the bus and subway (if there is no bank card).
