Rio de Janeiro is a city city, a dream city. Probably there is not a single person on the planet who would not hear about the famous carnival. That's it because of the carnival, we went to Rio.
I will say right away that prices during this grand spectacle take off in two, and even three times, but this event is worth such incredible costs. On the carnival, you can watch eternity, I am a girl and could not tear a delighted look from dancers and their stunning costumes.
Do not regret money, be sure to find the opportunity to visit Rio during the Carnival period! In order for the rest of the travelers to have the opportunity to plan the budget of trips to Rio, I am a small list of prices for food, excursions and a few trifles.
Rio de Janeiro - prices in various catering establishments
- Alcohol Brazilian Caipegin Cocktail, costs from six to fifteen real reals, or from ninety-eight to two hundred forty five Russian rubles;
- Lunch in McDonalds per person, stands from fifteen to eighteen reals, or from two hundred forty-five to two hundred and ninety-four rubles;
- lunch in pizzeria, will cost an average of fifteen real reals;
- In the distance from the city center, you can stumble upon the eatery, so the price of lunch in such a place is significantly lower, and the quality of food is no worse. Lunch in the eabies, costs from eight to eighteen real reals, or from one hundred and thirty-one to two hundred and ninety-four Russian rubles;
- There are cafes in which food is sold for weight. Called such institutions - Buffet Per Kilo. Satisfying, even very satisfying, you can eat here, for twenty reals or for three hundred twenty six rubles;
- a buffet, as an alternative to budget meals, costs from twenty to twenty five reals;
- Meat buffet, or as it is also called - Sukrakaria, costs from twenty to forty real;
- Paul liters of beer, which can be bought in the kiosk or in the beach bar, costs from three to five reals, or from forty-nine to eighty-two Russian rubles.

Rio de Janeiro - Prices in Cafe for Brazilians
- The main dish, costs from five to seven reals, or from eighty to one hundred fourteen rubles;
- dessert, on average it costs a half real or twenty-four rubles;
- Fresh juice, or rather, freshly squeezed, costs from five to six reals;
- A cup of fragrant coffee, worth two real or thirty-three rubles. I strongly recommend, try Brazilian coffee. Better drink, I did not try in my entire life;
- Brazilian vodka Kashasa and Caipyrin cocktail, cost five reals or eighty-two Russian rubles.
Rio de Janeiro - Prices in the restaurant
The budget we saved very much, so only once and then because of banal curiosity.
- Dinner with good wine and fresh oysters, for two costs from forty to eighty reals, or from six hundred and fifty-three to one thousand three hundred five rubles. As you understood, the price directly depends on the selected wine;
- Dish from meat, costs from twenty-five to fifty real. The price of a meat dish depends directly from meat and gabarita portion;
- a huge dish for two, but it can easily be divided into three, on which seafood, rice and salad lie, costs thirty-five reals or five hundred seventy-one Russian ruble;
- A big whole fish, which is designed for two persons, with a side dish costs thirty-two real or five hundred twenty-two Russian rubles.
We did not order anything else, because we chose the most budget dishes. A trip to the restaurant, my spouse was satisfied and left it in the excellent location of the Spirit and with crowded stomachs.
Rio de Janeiro - market prices
On the market, we only bought fruit, because here they are cheaper than in stores, and in my opinion the fruits in the market are more recently, but it seems to me that soon.
- Bananas are two and a half real or forty-one rubles per kilogram;
- one kilogram of Papaya, worth one real or sixteen rubles;
- watermelon, cost two real per kilogram;
- Pineapples, also have two real;
- Mango kilogram, worth three real or forty-nine Russian rubles.
Rio de Janeiro - Prices in the store
Wholesale purchases in stores and supermarkets we have not committed, since we were more convenient to eat on the go. Here, see what we bought in the store, just do not laugh.
- liter of water in the bottle, costs 1.3 Real or twenty-one rubles;
- Beer Bank, costs from two to three real. Beer we bought my husband, because without this drink, he does not represent his existence;
- Tutu cigarettes, costs four to five real. Bought only one, purely for curiosity. Yes, tobacco in these cigarettes can really be called tobacco and he does not have a comparison with that dust that they pushed into our cigarettes.
Rio de Janeiro - housing prices
- room for two in a normal hotel with all conditions, costs from two hundred to three hundred reals;
- a room in a cheap hotel, in which there is no air conditioner, it is from one hundred and twenty to one hundred and fifty reals;
- Hostel, you can find from sixty to eighty reals, or from nine hundred seventy nine to one thousand three hundred five rubles. Staying in the hostel, the most valuable things can be left in the storage chamber on the bus station, the rental of which per day is from four to eight real.
Rio de Janeiro - Prices for Entertainment
Because it comes to Rio, it is definitely certain from the sambodroma. These are such tribunes from which you can watch the carnival.
- a ticket to the podium of the Sambodrome before the start of the carnival, it is from one hundred and fifty real. The most expensive ticket costs one thousand dollars. Tribune ticket, during the carnival, costs from eighty reals;
- Sugar head, which is one of the symbols of the city. So, the rise on it, on two funicular, costs forty-four real;
- A trip by train, which took us to the top of the mountain Cukovado and back, costs forty-three real.
