Piedmont Turin is the largest city. Several of my friends from the western region of Italy studied here at the university. Someone lived in student hostels, but most removed the apartment for several people on the outskirts of the city. Some weekend in August 2013 we spent with my wife visiting.
It was my not the first journey to Turin, so settling and having rested after the road, I succumbed to the temptation of my wife, and we went to the city center for a pedestrian shopping street. From about the middle of July to early September, Turin becomes an insanely popular city among shopping lovers. Discounts, really please: 30, 50 and even 70%. Something and we have gained for yourself. The stores are not uncommon to meet consultants, ideally owning Russian. Native speech is heard, one can say at every step than I, honestly, was very surprised.
Piazza Castello is a central city square and an important attraction of Turin. Here is the Royal Palace, theater and the library. The Government Building and the Armory of Government comes to the square.
Tourists popular with the National Museum of Cinema and the Museum of Ancient Egypt. The latter collected a collection of important papyrus, the most ancient preserved geographical map, sculptures of the Sphinx, real mummies and many more interesting things. The time spent here was, really, not sorry.
Approximately as interesting for me it seemed a car museum of Turin. The museum's exposition has more than 100 cars of a variety of brands. The excursion is conducted in several languages, so we enjoyed met with the Italian history of automotive and innovation in the production of cars.
There are several large parks in the city and many cozy little squares, the river with the famous name "software" takes place here, on the shore of which is a stunning beauty Castle Valentino. Cathedrals and churches in Turin a huge number - I even got off from the account))
We dined and dinner in the house of our friends, but all sorts of snacks, cafes and restaurants in the city abound, as they say, for every taste and wallet. Local ice cream appeared very tasty.
Turin is filled with attractions: the picturesque views and good discounts in the pricefall season did not allow us to be bored here, and you probably will like it in Turin too.
