1 day in Pietra Ligure

Among the Russian tourists, the town of Pietra-Ligure, located on the shores of the Ligurian Sea, was not very popular with great popularity. According to local residents, only in the last 10 years here actively began to look at our compatriots. I learned about him from familiar Italians, their feedback on this town was only positive. In July 2014, we traveled along the Ligurian coast and some of the days decided to spend in Pietra-Liguria.

We had no need to select housing in this city, because we were expected to have a night moving to another city, but residences and hotels for every taste and wallet here.

In the city we arrived early in the morning, sat down in one of the cafe along the promenade to drink coffee cup. The cost of coffee in all establishments of the city is approximately the same, and dependent on the type it will cost 5 to 12 euros. Immediately striking that the main majority of coffee shop visitors are the elderly. At first I thought it was connected with an early hour, but walking around the city became clear, this is a cozy quiet place, favorable for family pairs with children and the elderly. There are practically no noisy clubs here, for the whole day on the beach we met only a couple of youth companies, so it seems to me that the fun nightlife in this city should not go.

Our plans included a visit to any sights of the city and the local beach. Therefore, at 8 am, as soon as the beach was opened, we paid for 17 euros per person per day, got the keys to the locker, where the majority of our things left, settled on the sun loungers and went swimming. Water is very clean, beautiful blue. Coast sandy with admixture of pebbles. If you swim further than 100 meters from the shore, huge flocks of small fish swim to you, not the most pleasant pleasure ... Therefore, it is better to stay close to the shore))

At about half a day, looked into one of the pizzerias. Pizza here is very tasty and inexpensive. Margarita, for example, costs only 3.50 euros. A large saucer plate with seafood will cost 12 euros.

At lunchtime, it is impossible to meet a single vacationer on the beach, we followed the general principle and went walking along the embankment. As in most Ligurian cities on both sides of the embankment, beautiful flowers and palm trees grow, in the shade of which are cozy benches.

Among the attractions of the city I would like to celebrate the central square and the Church of St. Nicholas.

There are not many large shops in the city, but the prices here are quite pleasant especially during the discount season.

Specifically for me, the city is very similar to many other small resort towns of the Ligurian coast, but still there is a unique atmosphere, which allows Pietra Ligure to stay forever in my heart.
