Ljubljana is one of the most interesting cities of the former Yugoslavia. The city is very youth and hospitable, with a stunning atmosphere.
Riding to Ljubljana is best in April-May and September-October. At this time there is a comfortable weather, excellent for sightseeing, only occasionally rain. As a bonus, the spring city is even more good thanks to greenery and flourishing apple trees and plums, bringing the whole city with white and pale purple flowers.
But summer, in my opinion, is not the best time to travel. June, although the air temperature is quite comfortable, it is considered the rainy month of the year, and run under the rain, looking at the sights, not very pleasant occupation. July and August, although they do not differ in high humidity, also not the best time to travel to Ljubljana: the second half of the summer is characterized by high temperatures, and to rise to Ljubljanskaya degrees, for example, on the sun and a temperature of 35 degrees. All the time in the period from the spring to the end of summer, there are often thunderstorms. On the other hand, summer is the period of festivals and various entertainment events that Slovenians simply adore. For example, from July 1 to September 1, a grand musical Ljubljana Festival is held here. This year, in the framework of the festival, the Vienna State Opera, the Royal Orchestra from the Netherlands and many others, is given at least 70 concerts every year. The people in the summer in Ljubljana becomes more, however, such a crowd, which is not poured, as, for example, in Vienna or Prague, is not observed.
In winter, the Ljubljana is also comfortable enough for the location of the city at the foot of the Julian Alps, which do not miss the cold northern winds. Also winter cold softens the proximity of the Adriatic Sea. Christmas and New Year also have a good time to travel to Ljubljana. The city is dressed up and pretty even more. Tourists on the decorated streets of Ljubljana is added, compared to the gloomy November, prices on the eve of holidays are also rising.
